Kevin Nealon and Susan Yeagley Marry in Italy

By Christmas Jones

Kevin Nealon and his fiancé, actress, Susan Yeagley reportedly married in Bellagio, Italy, on September 3rd, 2005 at the town hall on Lake Como, directly across from George Clooney’s own private villa. While Nealon and Yeagley intended a small, intimate ceremony, speculation that Brad Pitt was marrying Angelina Jolie instead, or Matt Damon with his secret bride, sent the paparazzi swarming to make the big scoop. Nealon, humorously, said he felt sorry for the reporters- that they would be disillusioned into thinking he was someone “famous.” The paparazzi was kind enough to step out of the public wedding hall to allow them their privacy. So despite the initial buzz, the couple successfully married with only four witnesses and a romantic ceremony performed in Italian by the local officiate.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds spent an hour taking pictures throughout the city. The beaming bride and groom turned heads as they took photos in some of the most charming and scenic locations known in the region, including lakeside, with the blue water background of Lake Como, and throughout the romantic Italian “calle” of Bellagio. Their photo session was followed by a romantic boat tour of Lake Como, where a bottle of champagne and gourmet cheeses awaited them.

Later, the couple dined at the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, a five star hotel in the heart of Bellagio. While the couple’s wedding coordinator, Euroevents and Travel, refused to release the details of the event, sources reported that a five course meal was created just for the couple, including fresh mozzarella burrata, homemade orechiette (pasta), aubergine Milanese-style and a succulent smoked pear, topped with yogurt ice cream and wild berry sauce. The meal ended perfectly, with a personal wedding cake.

When asked if they would be following the Italian tradition of having kids soon, Nealon responded, “We’re going to follow the Italian tradition of having a huge bottle of wine.”~
